This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart

It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound. And because of that (and Sufjan's talent), every track on there is a standout track. Angkasawan

Hooks galore as pitchfork noted, but that's not why i love GFC. (pf's take is a tad lame, & it's a 9.1 at least.) it's more than that. it reminds me of 70s Elton John (minus lyrics, sorry BT). That could be "Pure Comedy" though. Also some ELO sounds, i'm old. FJM has a beautiful voice. he's got gay fans too. Jeremy Leaming
